A Blue Moon: Full Moon in Sagittarius: 31st May 2026

The next full moon in Sagittarius is a ‘blue moon’. A ‘blue moon’ is the second full moon in the same month. This lunar event occurs every two to three years, so it’s fairly rare as well as profound. Full moons are like cups over-flowing with water: bringing emotions, intuition, wildness and magick to the zenith of our psyche. A ‘blue moon’ intensifies this bringing a reckoning within, a type of ‘now or never’ experience. Wow. 

Sagittarius magick calls us to our purpose. It’s motif is the Centaur, a symbol of the evolution of the human soul. Mother Moon in this enthusiastic sign, beckons us to be curious, to try new things, to be open to inspiration and learning. We can feel complacent at times, content to stay the same, but nothing remains still. Change can be simple or life-altering, it can be scary but it is always thrilling. It takes us out of the mundane to a deeper sense of purpose.  

When we feel connected to our truth, we experience purpose. Children know it well, their purpose is to play, to connect to the invisible world, to feel the joy of life. 

This powerful blue moon is in trine with Saturn, reminding us that practical steps should be taken and lessons learnt from the past. There is also a trine with Neptune, the ‘planet of awakening’, so embrace surprises, intense feelings and the mystic. 

There is magick all around us. Look to the skies of the 31st of May and say ‘Hello’.
