Spring Equinox: Ostara: A Witch’s Sabbat: 23rd September 2026

The equinoxes are times between endings and beginnings, when day and night are equal.  

On the Wheel of the Year, the God and Goddess move towards each other as seedlings begin to bud on the surface of Earth. The energies of the moon, fertility and new life entwine. . The spring equinox is associated with the Saxon Goddess, Ostara, associated with the moon and fertility. Her familiar is the hare, transfixed by the lunar glow. Motifs of the equinox include eggs, rabbits, seeds, and flowers. The new religion adopted these symbols for Easter celebrations, to speak again of new life. 

We are in constant change, making mistakes, reinventing, learning, and growing. The spring equinox calls us to hope, to find joy, to renew by connecting with the magick of Mother Nature, and to understand we are Her children.
