These beautiful clay Mandrake plaques come all the way from Canada, handmade with love and intention.

In the past, mandrake (the plant) was often made into amulets which were believed to bring good fortune and cure sterility. As a plant with the shape of a human body, the mandrake was believed to exercise control over the body: it could induce love or conception, or bring good fortune, wealth and power.

In Medieval times, mandrake was considered a key ingredient in a multitude of witches' flying ointment recipes as well as a primary component of magical potions and brews.

Place this plaque on your altar when performing any good fortune or fertility ritual work, it can also be hung as a decorative piece in your sacred space as it comes ready to hang with the string attached.
