A Beltane Love Spell

with Danae Moon 25th October

Beltane 31st October: A Witch’s Sabbat on the Wheel of the Year:
A time when the Veil between the Worlds is at its finest, when the fairy-gates open, when love, sensuality and joy are embraced.

A dreamlike energy was created at the Beltane Love Spell class on Saturday. Everyone attending came with open hearts, ready to delve into mystery and mysticism.

After hearing the myth and symbolism of Beltane, the class embarked on a visualisation to discover the intention of the perfume and love message they were to create. The visualisation began and all entered a silent state. I could feel everyone’s energy surrender to the present, as they journeyed into their inner world. Even though I was talking through the visualisation, I could feel the vibration of the circle- an enchantment was occurring.

The sound of the bell returned all to the present and everyone began creating their own perfume, choosing their blend from essential oils on the table. Inspired by the scents, they then wrote their message of love. They anointed the paper with the perfume, rolled it into a scroll and tied it with a cord and a small bell to invoke the fairy folk.

The magick was enhanced as each person described the experience of their visualisation to the group. As the stories unfolded, the circle filled with the visions and feelings spoken. A connection with the divine was made. We were in a waking dream. This is experienced when something magickal occurs, and it takes all present to be of the one heart and mind.

Everyone’s intentions for the love perfumes and messages were different. Some wrote a message to someone special, others for a meeting of hearts to come, another participate meet her ancestors in the visualisation. Another made the perfume for self-love, another to love the path she is on and one to honour a profound memory.

At the end of the event, I felt like I was floating. Casting a spell with others allows you to see their sacredness, their unique spirit and wonder. I believe everyone felt this way.

It was hard leaving the room, away from the arms of magick.

Many thanks to all who participated. And to add to the magick, a newly married couple attended. Perfect for the celebration of Beltane!

Here’s to love, romance and wonder.
