This new moon is in the sign of the Archer, a centaur, wild and freedom-loving. His arrow points skyward symbolising spiritual aspiration, adventure and purpose. This motif of Sagittarius represents the development of the human soul. The Greek centaurs were bound to earthy pleasures, they were chaotic, dangerous. Then came Chiron, a centaur blessed with wisdom and cleverness. He went on to become a teacher to many heroes. Through divine inspiration, gentleness and empathy Chiron came to symbolise evolvement. 

Sagittarius magick calls us to growth and mystical adventure, asks us to explore possibilities. It warns us not to get bogged down in desires but to be open to destiny and meaning. 

Under the new moon we are reminded about joy, the importance of fun and humour. Joy and sadness can exist together. We can’t be happy all of the time, that’s impossible. However, we can find joy, wonder and magick when we look for it. 

Be mindful of the new moon’s aspects. Favourable conjunctions with Venus and Mars may bring values, love and drive into your intentions. However, the squares with Saturn and Neptune may be tricky so stay courageous and optimistic.
